Business > Employment > TTtraining

It has long been the case that, in order to thrive, businesses need to ensure that one of their most important assets, their people, are well trained and able to meet the challenges of modern business. This is particularly the case in the current recession.

To assist businesses in meeting these challenges, the Employment team at Thring Townsend Lee & Pembertons solicitors has established a training division, TTtraining.

TTtraining draws on the experience of our lawyers and the HR professionals whom we have worked with over the years.

Training courses would usually be run at the client's premises and could range from an hour long session or a multi-day course depending on clients' needs. If appropriate, we can also make use of case studies and role-play. Our courses can be targeted at HR professionals or line managers as required.

The employment team at Thring Townsend Lee & Pembertons is known for its friendly and practical approach. We will work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure that the training package we put together meets these in a cost-effective way.

We can cover any issue within the employment law field. Some of the common issues which firms require training on are as follows:

  • basic principles of UK employment law;
  • implementing redundancies;
  • managing sickness absence;
  • disciplinary procedures and dealing with poor performers;
  • resolving conflict in the workplace - grievance procedures and mediation;
  • equal opportunities and diversity;
  • compromise agreements;
  • HR & data protection;
  • protecting confidential information and restrictive covenants;
  • TUPE and outsourcing.

To discuss costs and and scheduling training, please email us at tttraining@ttuk.com or call our training co-ordinators, Jeremy Nixon on 020 7766 5607 (for London and the South East) or Esyllt Davies 01793 412528 (for the South West)
